When should I schedule my free, in-home, no-obligation consultation?

We strive to work on your timeframe but suggest you leave enough time to coordinate all aspects of your relocation to minimize your stress level. We are here to work together to downsize, organize, sort, pack, create a floorplan design of your new home, move, and unpack.

Many retirees try to tackle moving on their own and discover that at this stage of life, moving is an overwhelming project. We recommend calling us before it becomes apparent your plans are not working. Save yourself the frustration and risk of getting hurt or having your children spend money and valuable time sorting through all your cherished belongings by contacting us as soon as you know you’ll be relocating. What issues should be discussed in person?

Do you perform the actual physical labor?

Absolutely! You can rest assured knowing that our team of professionally-trained and trusted members will be the only people handling your valued possessions. We provide peace of mind by working with you side by side throughout the entire process.

I can take care of the packing on my own. What if I don't need you to handle all aspects of the move?

Our team will work with you according to your needs. Whether you simply require help with one step along the way or need us to handle the entire transition, we structure our services to fit your individual situation with the goal to ease the stress of the relocation process.

I have a cluttered home and/or garage. Is this something you can help me with?

Yes! We help people in all types of situations and living environments. We will help you downsize in any space. Let us work with you to achieve your goals!

I'm not sure if all of my belongings will fit in my new home. How can I find out?

Included in our service is the planning process, where we measure your furniture and layout of your new home to create a custom floorplan design. We work with you to decide what will fit, what can be sold or donated. We will also dispose of any unwanted or remaining items leaving your home completely empty and ready for sale. We will ensure that your items will fit in your new home safely and functionally.

I have friends and/or family members that could use some items. Would you deliver them as well?

Yes, we can arrange delivery to family members and friends and coordinate the safe transport of your items.

Is there anything Cheerful Transitions will not manage?

We pride ourselves on accomplishing all your needs. Our goal is to help you with whatever you require but will not do anything we are not trained and qualified to do. We do not prepare meals, relocate firearms, perform financial services on your behalf (we do not handle your money or valuables), provide transportation or administer medications.
